The Buddha taught that craving is a root cause of suffering, and that meditation is part of the path to freedom from the cycle of attachment and habitual behaviour. The 11th Step of Alcoholics Anonymous also points to the power of meditation to create positive change in our lives. In this workshop we’ll explore how mindfulness and compassion support abstinence from habitual substances or behaviours that cause harm.

Open to people in any form of recovery and suitable for those who are new to meditation. There will be periods of guided meditation, group discussion, and community building. Led by Lulu Cook and Tanya Smith. Suggested donation $20, no one turned away. Feel free to join us for the regular Heart Insight meeting at 6pm, after enjoying dinner in West End.
