Thursdays, 6:15pm in-person
Sundays, 6pm online

There are two opportunities per week to join the Heart Insight Group. On Thursday evenings in-person at Mindful Psychology in Woollongabba and Sunday evenings online. On the fourth Sunday each month the online group starts at 7pm for a discussion of a sutta from the Pali Canon.  Please sign up to the mailing list or visit the HI facebook group for the Zoom login details.
Details of the various meeting are in the Heart Insight calendar.

Developing a meditation practice is so much easier with the support of a group. Every Thursday and Sunday evenings join us as we explore the liberating insights and practices taught by the Buddha.

Cost is by donation. The teachings are considered beyond a monetary value so instead the tradition of dana (generosity) is practiced. Those that wish to support the continuation of the group and the teacher’s offerings, can do so via donation boxes on the night.

Saturday Silent Retreat

The Heart Insight Meditation group is delighted to advise that we are running full days of silent meditation on the first Saturday of each month (except January), at the Quaker Meeting House, 10 Hampson Street, Kelvin Grove.

More details: Heart Insight Saturday Retreat info, and program.

Please see the Heart Insight calendar for dates.

Jane McMahon – The Spiritual Awakening Opportunities Inherent within Chronic Illness and Pain
Feb 2 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Jane McMahon will be sharing her insights from her own experience of being neurologically debilitated and bed bound for over 2 and a half years, and the many years of recovery following.

Jane will share on how the practice of meditation and self awareness helped her through the experience, and will link the Buddha’s Noble Eightfold path of right understanding, thought, speech and action, towards our own personal viewpoint of ourselves. She has realised that unless we deeply love, value and respect ourselves in our thoughts, speech and actions, we can create the conditions for dis-ease in the body and mind. Through commitment and self awareness practices we all have the power to create a more wholesome concept of ourselves that will allow for the right conditions for recovery and more physical and mental freedom.

Jane is a Primary School Teacher who has been meditating daily for over 17 years. She has always had a deep interest in self awakening and the discovery of truth. In her own personal journey she has been profoundly influenced by both the teachings of the Buddha and the teachings of Christ.
